{Free Printable} Valentine Treat Sack Topper

“God is in the details”? Ay ya! Those details are driving my perfectionist self a little bit nutballs! :D I’m glad I’m only coordinating one aspect of this bridal shower and not the whole dang thing! ;) Don’t get me wrong, as I stated before, I mucho LOVE Valentine’s Day. All the pink and red, all the smoochiness! But the novelty is starting to wear thin as I check the boxes off on my “To Do” list! *le sigh* ;)

So there we are, the treat sacks for the candy buffet… I decided on paper sacks (choice of red or pink) with a “THANK YOU” topper and decorative clothespin. The topper matches the candy bar wrappers I previously shared.

I wasn’t happy with just covering one side of the clothespins, so I covered both front/back with scrapbook paper. Had to make 50+ of these, not too bad.

Here’s a few tips if you need to churn out a large quantity:

- Use a rotary paper trimmer to cut the strips
- Forget the glue or mod podge! Use a tape runner! *
- Watch a movie while you work :)

* The Elmer’s CraftBond Permanent Tape Runner is perfect! It’s exactly the width of the clothespin and sticks really well. Makes the process super fast and easy!

The clothespins look a little more polished if you slightly sand the edges with a piece of sandpaper after gluing on the scrapbook paper. Or… if you don’t want to even go there at all… get these super cute mini-heart clothespins from Michael’s!

Of course I had to convert this design into a printable for Valentine’s Day! There’s lots of things you can put inside the sacks instead of candy as well.

Don’t have any clothespins? You can also just punch two holes through the topper/bag and tie with a cute ribbon!
