{Free Printable} Watermelon Thank You Notes

I needed a thank you note to send to hubby’s Grandma & Aunt, so I quickly pulled this one together and thought I would share it. It matches the June 2011 calendar.

BTW, we are so lucky to have such thoughtful relatives! Grandma D and Aunt T live in New Jersey, but they never forget to send sweet little cards/goodies to the boys for their birthdays and all of the holidays. My boys LOVE getting cards. Quentin (4) is always like “is there money in it?” and Gavin (3) is just excited about the actual card! Gav will “play” with all of his greeting cards for hours. Seriously! He lines them up in a row over and over! And oh heck no, you better not try to take or touch one of them! Uh, OCD much? Wonder who he got that from? ;)

Speaking of that… I was reading a post by my buddy LC that got me thinking of the “old days” (AKA: being a young adult with your head up your bum). I’m so anal retentive/OCD about things now, you’d never guess that I used to be the world’s biggest slob/slacker. No lie! I was the chick who would just throw out dirty (moldy) dishes from the sink and GO BUY NEW ONES because I didn’t want to deal with washing dishes. All the laundry dirty? No clean underwear? WhatEVER! No-brainer, just go BUY NEW ONES! Cleaning? Organzing? YEAH RIGHT!

I’m not sure when the perfectionist bug hit me. Or when my need for the TV remote controls to be perfectly lined up (equal distance apart) started. Or how the incessant list-making began, or exactly when I first felt the overwhelming desire to P-Touch label everything in sight. But it hit me and hit me hard! My Mom and I recently had a conversation about how she never thought I would “turn things around” for myself and was relieved when I did! I guess I’m proof that even the biggest scrub can grow up and change. However, I don’t think I’m really all that “good” either ;) There are SO MANY things that I’m a total screw-up over! Don’t even get me started on it! … And wow, I totally digressed from watermelon notes huh? ;)
